THE WORKOUT.

 
  • Think boxing gym + nightclub. RIOT classes bring the punch and the party, with our studio’s low lighting and banging sound system: you can lose and find yourself all at once.

    Our classes last 45 minutes and are a combo of bag work (boxing) and bench/floor work (cardio + strength).

  • Yes.

    All of our classes are beginner-friendly. At the start of every class, we review the basic moves that will be used in each section of the workout. We offer alternative versions of exercises for anyone who needs them, and you can always give your trainer a shout if you’re struggling.

  • No, we can provide gloves for your class.

    Clean freak? No problem…

    WE SELL GLOVES!
    Just ask a RIOT team member for assistance and we can get you started on your boxing journey.

  • Our workouts are designed to be carried out by everyone. However, if you feel there are some moves you can’t quite manage, feel free to take a rest, or ask the trainer for an alternative move as they run through the workouts at the beginning of class.

    We never want you to feel less than anyone else in the class. Everyone is different - that’s why we’re amazing.

  • There is a car park located directly in front of the RIOT Boxing studio. You can use the PayByPhone app or with cash.

  • You can bring your own water, or purchase a bottle from our RIOT fridge in the waiting area.

  • No.
    We do not provide any food at the studio. Make sure you are fuelled up and ready for your class before you arrive.

SCHEDULING.

  • You need to sign up to a RIOT account using the “LOG IN” button at the top of this site - then select “SIGN UP”.

    Once you’ve made an account you can BUY CREDITS.

    Then choose your space on our class schedule and book on.

  • We offer memberships for our functional gym space next door to RIOT, but you do not need a “membership” to attend RIOT classes.
    Just make an account.

    You can book classes with your credits - no membership fee.

  • Our class can be bought individually or in packs.

    2 CLASSES = £15.99
    3 CLASSES = £20.99
    4 CLASSES = £25.99

    You can buy classes by following the “TIMETABLE” button at the top of this site, logging in, and then clicking “BUY CLASSES/PACKS” in your member’s area.

  • Simply go to our “TIMETABLE” page on this site.

    • Select the DATE and TIME class you would like on the class schedule

    • Select your starting spot (bag or bench) and book with your RIOT credits

    • See you there!

  • We have 10 bags and 10 benches.
    If these are full, your name will be added to our waitlist for that class upon booking.

    You will be automatically assigned a spot in order of who signs up - UP TO TO THE CANCELLATION POLICY DEADLINE.

    This means you will remain on the waitlist until 111:59pm 24 hours before the day of the class.

    For example - you join the waitlist for a 7pm class on a Friday - you will be eligible to secure a place up to 11:59pm on the Wednesday.

BEFORE CLASS.

  • We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before your RIOT class.
    This is so you have time to find your assigned starting bag/bench, take part in any inductions with the trainers, and get yourself ready to RIOT.

  • If you are running slightly behind but still arrive in time for the class starting, that’s fine.

    Unfortunately, you cannot enter the studio after the class has started - other class members will be punching heavy aqua bags and using free weight during their movements so it is not safe to navigate through the studio once the class starts.

  • If you feel unwell, we recommend you cancel your class before the deadline and use your credits when you feel better.

    We don’t want you to waste credits when you don’t feel 100%, or make other RIOT members unwell.

    Unfortunately COVID-19 is still hanging over us and we don’t want to risk the safety of any of our RIOT family.

  • We understand things pop up.

    Our cancellation policy means you can cancel your class spot UP TO 11:59pm/24 HOURS BEFORE THE DAY OF THE CLASS.

    For example - you join a class or the waitlist for a 7pm Friday class - you will be eligible to secure a place or cancel your spot up to 11:59pm on the Wednesday.

    If you miss this cancellation deadline, you will lose your credits for this class. No classes are eligible for refund after this deadline.

  • You will enter the RIOT building, have a quick catch-up with classmates or make some new ones in the waiting area - then head straight into the RIOT studio and find your assigned place.

    Then get ready for a RIOT.

DURING CLASS.

  • Every body is different - we want you to wear what you feel comfortable and confident in.

    Any typical gym attire is suitable. We recommend something breathable as you will be getting pretty warm pretty quick…

  • You don’t need professional boxing shoes to take part in class, but you need appropriate trainers/flat training shoes.

    Something that you are comfortable in, but gives you correct support and won’t cause you to trip or slip during the active class.

  • Exhilarating. Immersive. Loud.

    We’ve installed a banging sound system so you can lose yourself in our specially curated playlist. We take our music seriously & want you to be motivated & inspired by it.

    Mixed by our very own RIOT DJ, we blend the old skool with the new. From Stormzy and Kanye West, to Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Eminem…

    We bring the tunes, you bring your A game.

  • We recommend you discuss any injuries with your own doctor before doing any form of exercise.

    We don’t recommend taking part in a RIOT class if injured.

    RIOT is not responsible for any further injury incurred if you do take part.

GENERAL.

  • YES.

    All class participants have access to the shower +toiet facilities before and after class, as well as the changing rooms.

    Bring your own shampoo/bodywash + towel, and you’re all set!

  • Unfortunately due to the nature of our workouts (using heavy aqua bags to box + free weights) we do not allow pregnant people to take part in a RIOT class.

    This is purely for your and your baby’s safety. Our RIOT family comes first.

    We can’t wait to see you on your post-pregnancy fitness journey.
